Still needs major bug fix for 3G

I have the iPhone 3G. This app has always had static/crackling sounds which made this app unusable for me. I hoped a major update would be forthcoming to fix the problems, but its been many months and the noise problems persists. Are the developers still working on this app? Hello???

GreAt.!!!

Ilove this app budt.. - would like to see euphonium added -Recording -layers were we can play the instruments all together -woodwinds., brass., -PERCUSSION.! allow us to create songs .! And save them as mp3. Pls consider.!

This app is more difficult than a real insturment!

Waste of money!

Awesome app

Congratulations on the great work. This app is really well written. The wind controller is very responsive and the instrument sounds are great. Is there anyway I can use this as VSTis on Logic?

Terrible app

This app is a waste of money when you play the different instruments it doesnt feel like your playing the instrument! I hate it!

iPod Touch 4G microphone placement

The updated graphic actually points at the iPod Touch 4G speaker (doh!). If you flip the Touch over, the microphone is beside the back-facing camera on the opposite side. Blowing here produces a very nice signal for the instrument, even though you cant blow directly on the mic and still see the keyboard real well. Youll actually be blowing sort of past the microphone, rather than into it directly if you want to look down at the keys but, as I mentioned, it works great as long as the 2x amplification option is enabled. This has to be one of the coolest apps in the iTunes store. If you want to hear the sounds as intended (they are very high quality), plug the headphone out into an appropriate amplification system. I use a Peavey Vypyr guitar amp aux in, and it sounds absolutely killer! G

iPod Touch Buyer Beware

Giving Wallander credit where credit is due, this is a fun app and probably worth the sale price of $2.99, even if it has limited functionality. The tones are not as high quality as their competitors, but they arent bad. Wivi Band might be expressive and sound better on an iPhone but on the iPod Touch the mic function does not work, so you can only get full-blown, brassy sounds. Take for example the French Horn: a mellow, full-bodied, smooth brass instrument. Wivis French Horn sounds like a 6th grader playing a cheap trumpet (my cheap French Horn sounded better than this when I was in 6th grade, though not by much) . After multiple emails to their service department they moved the "Blow" prompt to the correct side, but it still doesnt work. Their response? "Get headphones with a microphone". I spent $400+ on an iPod with a microphone, how about fixing your app instead? I requested a refund until the software worked but got no response. Its a shame, because these folks have a GREAT idea, and I cant imagine it would be difficult to make it GREAT in fact. If you decide to buy anyway I hope you have a better experience than I have. Most of all I just hope Wallander gets their act together and gives us what they advertise - a working app! ~D!

Decent

I like it, very much, the tones dont exactly match, but its an iPhone app. The only real problem I have because I dont have a microphone on my ipod, is that the key board doesnt have a full octave. When you play Bb concert scale it should go cdefgabc, not without the second octave concert Bb

Decent sounds, but needs core MIDI support

I bought this app 2 years ago for $4.99 after being blown away by the Jordan Rudess video. I play sax and electronic wind synthesizer and thought it was cool for iPhone and with quality tones. The Tuba did not sound realistic but the others are good. Please update with core MIDI capability in order to make it useful for performance. Then I can use a MIDI wind controller to drive the tones. The keyboard interface is not practical when trying to blow into the mic because you have to strain to see where your fingers are touching. This doesnt work for performance or reading music. I see now that the newer WI Orchestra has added MIDI support and it works with a wind controller via iRig MIDI interface, but I shouldnt have to buy the same instruments again in the different app just for MIDI. The selection of these 15 instruments is a good choice and would be useful for live performance with an update. J.T.Miller

Beware

It is not as they describe I am a musician and all instruments do not have the time and sound quality as they state save 1.99 and purchase something else it is not what its advertise beware

No Bluetooth Support!

I just got some new Bluetooth speakers. Every app on the iPod touch works with them except for this one. I would be willing to pay extra for a compatible update.

love it

UPDATE IT FOR IPOD SO THAT WE CAN USE THE MIC

Bummed with iPhone 5 design support

Used to love this with my 3GS. Not Wallanders fault, but with the headset jack now adjacent to the iPhone 5 microphone, I can no longer line-out the output while trying to blow.

Its okay

The notes dont line up as they should. A pianos C Doesnt sound like the C a trumpet would play. If you line up the pitch the trumpet C is in the piano Bb spot. As well as the note inaccuracy, there is a sound inaccuracy. These sounds are nothing like the real instrument. Not the best app for this on the market.

Developer Abandoned It

Was one of the best music apps in the store but needs full iOS 9 support for the new and larger iPhones. And if Audiobus is added...this app will fly far.
